When you create an account, we collect your name, email address, and authentication credentials (or Google account info if you sign in with Google).
When you create a listing, we collect photos you upload, item descriptions and prices, your open house address (shared only with confirmed RSVPs), and open house dates and times.
When buyers interact with your sale, we collect their name, email, and RSVP status. We also collect basic analytics like page views to help sellers understand their sale performance.
We use your information to operate the ByeStuff service, including creating and displaying your sale listings, managing buyer RSVPs, sending push notifications and email confirmations, processing payments through our payment provider (Polar), and displaying your sale on the neighborhood map.
We do not sell your personal information. We share your data only in these cases:
Your data is stored securely using industry-standard encryption. Photos are stored in secure cloud storage. We use HTTPS for all data transmission. Authentication is handled through Supabase with secure session management.
You can access, update, or delete your account and all associated data at any time from your dashboard settings. When you delete your account, all your listings, items, and personal data are permanently removed.
We use essential cookies for authentication and session management. We do not use third-party tracking cookies or advertising pixels.
We may update this policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes via email or in-app notification.
